History
Società Agricola Fratelli Bergognini is a family managed farm located in Polpenazze del Garda. It extends over an area of 20 hectares, including 10 hectares of vineyard, 3 hectares of olive grove and 7 hectares of arable land.
The farm has ancient origins. Over the centuries, various generations and families have succeeded one another. The writing on the ancient stone-built fountain in the original cellar, which says: “ E’ vivva cantina da disporre al passionato bevitore senza danno al fattore” (The cellar is alive and should be used by the keen passionate drinker without fear of damage towards the farmer) dates back to 1837 when the cellar was run by the Berno family. Berno Margherita was the last descendant and in 1936, when she married Bergognini Bernardo, the era of the Bergogninis began, who still today carry on the passion for wine passed down from father to son over the years.
